The Paragould School District has been made aware of a random social media post with language referencing a fire alarm, etc. Although the post was random, and not specifically directed towards the Paragould School District, authorities were notified. Out of precaution, additional officers will be on site tomorrow. Parents are encouraged to check their child's social media for any concerning behavior. All threats are taken seriously and investigated. Any students caught making threats or sharing random threats on social media may face possible criminal charges. Student safety is and always will be paramount within our school district.

Don't forget: Picture day for OGMS is TOMORROW, Friday, September 20!

Sixth grade ALP students were invited to St. Bernard’s to learn about the Divinci Surgical Robot and see how surgeons use robotics in their procedures. Each student was able to operate the robot and see the procedure as the surgeon sees it. Students learned that this robot may be used in any soft tissue surgery and that St. Bernard’s uses the Divinci Robot in over 400 surgeries every three months!

Sixth grade language arts students were in for a treat yesterday as Oak Grove Middle School SRO Stephen Pace led a lesson over crime scene investigation. The students in these classes have been reading the book "The Westing Game" which involves elements of solving a crime. This lesson was paired with the current literature to better help students understand what is being read. Officer Pace explained what a crime scene is, how scenes are processed, and where evidence goes after a crime scene is processed. Students also participated in hands on activities including "How to fingerprint someone" and "How fingerprints are lifted from objects". #onlythebestatogms

Congratulations to our 1st quarter PE Jump Rope Champions! Each nine weeks, in PE, students compete to see who makes the most consecutive jumps with a jump rope. This is to promote healthy cardio activity and to give students a fun way to get moving. This week was the 1st quarter jump rope show down, and we're so proud of all of our students!

Great news Ram fans! We are happy to announce that Paragould students will be admitted into home athletic events for free again this year. This applies to all games except benefit or playoff games. All students in grades K-6 must be accompanied by an adult. Students are expected to watch the game once they enter the facility. Horseplay, including running around the facility and throwing balls at Ram Stadium, will not be allowed. It is also important to remember that Paragould students should remain on the home side at Ram Stadium. We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events. Go Rams!
