Tomorrow morning, the sun will rise over every Paragould school, and with it comes the beginning of a brand new year full of possibility. Buses will be rolling through neighborhoods, cafeteria teams will be preparing meals, teachers will be standing at their doors, and classrooms will be ready to welcome students back home. Tomorrow isn’t just the first day of school, it’s the first page of a new chapter. It’s a chance to make a new friend, encourage someone who needs it, ask great questions, work hard, show kindness, and grow a little more than you did yesterday. To our students: We can’t wait to see your smiles. To our families: Thank you for trusting us with your greatest treasures. To our teachers and staff: Thank you for the countless hours you’ve poured into preparing for this moment. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom. This year, our theme is Leave a Legacy. Legacy isn’t built in a single moment, it’s created day by day through the choices we make, the kindness we show, the effort we give, and the lives we touch. Here’s to new beginnings, new memories, and a year that leaves a lasting impact. Let's do this, Rams. ❤️💙

The next phase of parking lot improvements is underway at Paragould High School! There will be no access to PHS from Medical Drive for the next several weeks due to ongoing construction. To accommodate this work, we will begin the school year using the same traffic pattern that was in place at the end of last school year.

All access to the secondary campus parking lot will be from Court Street. This parking lot will be open and available for Open House on Tuesday, August 4, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please refer to the attached map for traffic flow information and directions for students and parents.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete these much needed improvements to our campus. We appreciate your support as we work to create a safer and more efficient parking area for our students, staff, and visitors.

Paragould High School Agriculture Department Head, Amanda Davis, recently completed the Veterinary and Animal Science Teacher Training (VASTT) Program at Murray State University. The intensive professional development experience provided agriculture educators with advanced training in animal science, veterinary medicine, and industry-based instructional practices designed to enhance classroom and laboratory instruction. Throughout the program, participants engaged in hands-on learning experiences focused on animal health, veterinary procedures, livestock management, and emerging technologies within the animal agriculture industry. The training emphasized real-world applications that can be directly incorporated into secondary agricultural education programs. As a result of this experience, students in the Paragould Agriculture Program will benefit from updated curriculum, enhanced laboratory activities, and expanded opportunities to explore careers in animal science and veterinary medicine. The knowledge and skills gained through the VASTT program will further strengthen the department’s commitment to providing high-quality, career-focused agricultural education. “Participating in the VASTT program allowed me to collaborate with outstanding educators and industry professionals while gaining valuable skills that will directly impact student learning,” said Davis. “I am excited to bring these new experiences and resources back to our students and continue expanding opportunities within our animal science and veterinary pathways.” The Paragould Agriculture Department remains committed to preparing students for success in agriculture, animal science, veterinary medicine, and other high-demand career fields through innovative instruction and hands-on learning experiences.💙🐄🐴🐏🐷❤️

Cue the crowns, sparkles, and Ram pride! 👑✨❤️💙 What an incredible week for our Paragould representatives at the Miss Junior Arkansas pageant! A huge congratulations to Anna Horner, PHS sophomore, on an outstanding showing. Anna brought strength, confidence, and grace to the stage and came home with some amazing accomplishments: ✨ Top 15 Finalist 💪 Prelim Alpha Fitness Winner 🏆 Prelim Overall Fitness Winner 💎 Overall Alpha Fitness Scholarship Recipient ($500) 💎 Overall Fitness Scholarship Recipient ($1,000) And we can’t forget her adorable sidekick, Jennings Weber, a first grader at Paragould Primary, who served as Anna’s Diamond State Princess! Diamond State Princesses get a behind-the-scenes taste of the pageant experience, walking the stage during evening gown competition and performing dance numbers throughout the week. From twirls and smiles to making unforgettable memories, Jennings got to shine right alongside Anna. Legacy isn’t always found in the big moments on stage. Sometimes it’s built in the quiet example of an older student encouraging a younger one, showing her what confidence looks like, cheering her on, and reminding her that she belongs in the spotlight, too. One big Ram. One little Ram. Two shining examples of what it means to represent Paragould with heart, character, and grace. Congratulations, Anna and Jennings. Thank you for leaving a legacy worth following. 👑✨

The school year may be over, but the learning never stops!

Last week, our administrators spent several days learning, collaborating, and planning for the year ahead. From strengthening leadership skills to exploring new ideas and best practices, they are already hard at work preparing for another great year in the Paragould School District.

The investment our leaders make in their own growth helps ensure our students, staff, and schools continue to thrive. We can't wait to put what we've learned into action as we work together to build on our legacy of excellence. Special thanks to our Rams Creative Media team for this VIDEO of the team in action.

Recently five Paragould High School students were busy representing our school, community, and future at Arkansas Boys State and Girls State.

Congratulations to Vivian Castleberry, Wyatt Hancock, Carter Honeycutt, Victoria Thompson, and Rayton Ysawa for spending part of their summer break learning about leadership, government, citizenship, and service alongside students from across Arkansas.

From participating in the legislative process at the State Capitol, to developing leadership skills, to building lifelong friendships and connections, each student returned with experiences that will stay with them for years to come.

❤️ Vivian's favorite part of Girls State was forming lifelong friendships and embracing the sisterhood created among delegates from across Arkansas.
💙 Wyatt enjoyed visiting the Capitol and taking part in the political process, including the unique opportunity to sit in Representative Gazaway's seat.
❤️ Carter shared that Boys State helped him better understand the complexities of politics and showed him that despite differences, people can leave united as one.
💙 Victoria enjoyed learning how government and legislation work behind the scenes while connecting with students from around the state.
❤️ Rayton valued the chance to learn leadership skills and build relationships with fellow delegates in Hanner County.

Thank you for representing Paragould High School so well. We are proud of your leadership, character, and commitment to making a difference. Enjoy the rest of your summer, Rams!

The Paragould School District has been made aware of a security issue on the high school construction site. While the situation appears to be isolated in nature and was not specifically directed toward the Paragould School District, local authorities were immediately notified and are investigating the matter. Out of an abundance of caution, Ram Run activities for students in grades 4–6 will be postponed. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community.

Did you know❓ Paragould High School has not one, but TWO career coaches on campus!

We are focused on giving students real options and building real confidence no matter what path they choose after graduation. Career Coaches Brittany Hall and Francesca Shearer walk alongside students as they plan for life after high school and gain hands-on experience through college visits, industry tours, career camps, and more.

These aren’t just conversations about the future—they’re opportunities to see it up close. 🎓 Our Career Coaches play a vital role in helping students boost their scholarship potential and graduate with a clear purpose and a competitive edge for the future.

Just one more reason to choose Paragould! https://www.paragould.k12.ar.us/o/paragould/page/school-choice

⏳❤️💙 Time is a thief.

It feels like yesterday that the Class of 2026 walked through our Primary doors as kindergarten students with oversized backpacks, untied shoes, and big dreams. Last week, they walked through our Ram Time Machine one final time - this time as seniors, ready to take on the world.

As the Class of 2038 entered and the Class of 2026 emerged, it was a powerful reminder of just how quickly the years pass and how important every moment in between truly is.

To our seniors: thank you for the memories, the laughter, the school spirit, and the legacy you leave behind. We are proud of the people you have become and excited to see where life takes you next. Now let's get you graduated.

Once a Ram, always a Ram. 🐏🎓✨

Congratulations, Class of 2026! RAMS TIME MACHINE
