Attention OGMS Family!
Our Field Day has been moved to MONDAY, May 20. This is a BAM event. Your child's teacher will be able to tell them whether or not they are eligible.
Please make sure that they bring:
*an extra change of clothes, shoes, a towel, and a grocery bag to put wet clothes in
*sun screen and deodorant (please and thank you)
*a hat
Part of our field day includes water activities. Students WILL GET WET and will need the items listed. If students do not bring the change of clothes, etc., they will not be allowed to participate in the water portions.
Hi OGMS Family!
Our RAM RUN at Ram Stadium is TOMORROW. Please remember to send your child in comfortable clothes tomorrow; we also recommend either putting sunscreen on them before they leave to come to school OR sending them with sunscreen - in a ziplock bag to prevent any sunscreen mishaps in backpacks.

It's come to our attention that we've had an "oopsie" on our magnet calendars for May 3. We are NOT hosting a fishing rodeo at OGMS. We are so sorry for the confusion!
If you are the parent/guardian of a 6th grader, please read:
Students will be registering for 7th grade classes on FRIDAY, MAY 3 during their science classes. (We know - it got here FAST!)
Last week, your child should have come home with information about classes and a schedule form that they need to fill out and you need to sign.
Those forms need to be returned as soon as possible to your child's homeroom teacher (preferably tomorrow).
Contact your child's homeroom teacher for extra forms. Email stilley@paragouldschools.net if you have schedule/class questions for next year.
Help us spread the word - the School Choice Deadline is May 1st. If you have friends or family who want to join the Ram Family but don't live in the district attendance zone, this is their chance! Make sure they get their paperwork turned in by May 1st. It can be dropped off at our administration building located at 1501 West Court Street. From superior academics to outstanding athletics, clubs, and student organizations - we have it all! Go Rams!
Tomorrow, April 23rd is National School Bus Driver appreciation day! Please join us in saying THANK YOU to those who make sure our students are delivered to and from school each day; take students on field trips all over the country; and transport teams to and fro. Hi OGMS families! Are you reading Restart with your student? Today we had a BLAST with several students in the library playing Kahoot! Trivia over some of the reading chapters (Mrs. Cook was having so much fun that she forgot to get pictures!) Tonight's reading is chapters 15 and 16.

All PSD campuses will be closed on Monday, April 8, 2024 due to the total solar eclipse. Glasses, as well as information regarding the eclipse, was sent home with students today. We hope you are able to enjoy this incredible event!
Great job to all the PSD art students who had their works of art displayed at the PSD art show tonight. Super talented students in our district with some amazing art instructors. OGMS principals were partial to OGMS student work and were in awe! ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!

Hello OGMS families! Please join us this Friday, March 15 for our 3rd quarter awards assemblies. These will be held in the gym at the following times:
6th grade: 8:45 am
5th grade: 10:00 am
3rd quarter music students will be performing with their flutaphones at the beginning of each assembly. Principal's list, honor roll, perfect attendance, special class, and Accelerated Reader awards will be given at each assembly.
