OGMS students need to continue to read about the crazy adventures of Flora and Ulysses. Tonight’s reading is chapters 50-57. The final trivia day is Friday so be prepared . ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!!
VIRTUAL students will do ACT Aspire testing for Interim #4 (science) on Wednesday, March 17 (tomorrow) at 9:45 am. Students must bring their CHARGED Chromebooks with them and wear a mask. Please expect the test to take until 11:00 am and be prepared to pick up your student at that time. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we cannot let parents into the building, but we ask that you wait in your vehicles until your child has completed testing. Please bring them to the front office and they will be escorted to the testing area from there.
Virtual Parents! This announcement is for you and your kiddos. If you haven't already picked up your child's copy of "Flora and Ulysses" for our school community read, there is still time! Your child has a copy with his or her name on it waiting on them in the office! Please pick this up and have them check the Library Google Classroom so that they can participate in the fun activities was have going on this week and next.

OGMS class photos are tomorrow. Your child should have came home with an order form but if they did not it’s not too late to order your class photo. Call the office tomorrow and we can help you.

March is National Reading Month, and Paragould is "raising readers." Next month is designated to motivate Americans of all ages to read every day. To promote reading throughout the whole city of Paragould, we need your help! Please put your favorite book in the window of your store and home. Let's involve the whole community and see books in every window! We want our students from all of our local schools to be inspired by the many people in Paragould that read. Doing this one simple thing can make a big difference to motivate our younger generation to become avid readers.
Parent teacher conferences are Thursday night from 4-7 and will be virtual by phone, zoom or emails. If you have any questions about your child’s progress, please contact their teachers. ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchison has proclaimed the last week in February as Gifted and Talented Awareness Week in Arkansas to recognize, support, and respect the unique and diverse needs of gifted students, who require qualitatively differentiated educational experiences and services. Our gifted and talented program will be participating in awareness activities all week.

Who knew math could be so sweet? Students in 5th grade math made snow cream yesterday using their amazing math skills!

Regretfully, the school food pantry program is cancelled today due to inclement weather and dangerous road conditions. Food will not be distributed at PJHS or delivered. The program will resume on Monday, February 22nd as scheduled.
