Parent Volunteer Meeting Date Change:
Due to this evening's weather predictions, we are rescheduling this evening's parent volunteer meeting. We will be meeting on Monday, May 2, at 5:30 instead of tonight. There will be NO MEETING tonight; we apologize for any inconvenience.

Hey parents! This note is coming home in backpacks today. We're looking for parent volunteers to help with our spring dance (scheduled for May 13). More information about the dance itself will be coming home in backpacks closer to time; right now we're just looking for volunteers!
Our volunteer meeting will begin on Monday, April 11, at 5:30 in the OGMS parent center (just come to the front door - you'll be directed) and should last less than an hour.
If you're interested in helping with the dance in any way, we hope to see you!
The PSD pageant is BACK! 👊 The pageant is hosted by the Paragould Dance program and entry forms are available in the office of each PSD campus. The forms are due on April 22nd and the pageant will be held April 30th in the Paragould High School auditorium. 2 years old through 12th grade are allowed to enter. A copy of the entry form is below or you can email jwallace@paragouldschools.net for more information.

3rd 9 weeks report cards were sent home yesterday. Awards and celebrations will be after spring break. We wish all of you a healthy, safe and fun spring break and we will see everyone back on the 28th! ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
What a great feeling to have all our students together in our gym being entertained by our PSD Jazz Band! OGMS students and staff loved having them and can’t wait to see the whole band on our gym floor in April! ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!!
Congratulations to all our 5th grade students for learning our 50 states and capitals. Our 4 fastest students participated in a friendly Kahoot Capital game. Mrs. Miller’s and Mrs. Davenport’s classes were represented by their two fastest students in a 4 person Kahoot challenge. These students were so fast most people could not even read the question before they had the answer! It was such a fun competition to watch! ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!
Another great week at OGMS! Our 5th grader Ahlam Nur got 5th place at the state spelling bee, we announced our February Student of the Month winners, had our Family Fun Night, had jr high and sr high cheerleaders and dance team members speak and do an exhibition performance for our students today and we got dismissed early today ahead of the snow! What a fantastic week! ONLY THE BEST AT OGMS!!

Family Fun Night was SUCH a blast! Thanks to ALL who attended - we hope you enjoyed a fun night of games and family time as much as we did! Last month we saw LOTS of acts of kindness on our campus, including students creating thank you cards for our community helpers. Here are a few happy recipients of those cards: Dr. Schefano and Dr. Green at AMMC and Aaron Schenk of the Greene County Rescue Squad.

OGMS will start their After School Program next week March 7th. Students received letters and applications for this on Monday. It will be from 3:30-4:30 Monday to Thursday. If you are interested in your son/daughter doing this, please return form ASAP or call the office at 870-240-2241.
