Today second graders at Baldwin ate Guatemalan tamale and Mexican tamales. They learned that tamales from Guatemala are wrapped in a banana leaf and tamales from Mexico are wrapped in corn husks. They also drank hot chocolate from Mexico and Bunuelos. Bunuelos are flour tortillas deep fried and covered in cinnamon and sugar. #baldwinelementary #christmasaroundtheworld
