“Noah LaRue read Dr. Suess's "You're Only Old Once" while standing up in his bed eating a snack. He also read upside down. We have been encouraging students to complete a Dr. Seuss reading challenge, which encourages them to read in silly ways.” Mrs. Hay #drseussweek #readersareleaders #drseuss #readingathome #secondgradechallenge

Students at Baldwin enjoy a brand new Bitmoji Library every week as a part of our library class! This gives each student a chance to explore books at their own pace while waiting to check out a library book. This allows Baldwin students to be exposed to a variety of literacy experiences and the freedom to choose which books they would like to read. #baldwinBEthechange #bitmojilibrary #readersareleaders #libraryclass

Students at Baldwin enjoy a slideshow each morning where we make our morning announcements, say our pledge, do student "shout outs" for accomplishments, and much more! Our "Rise and Shine" is a tradition at Baldwin and helps start each morning on a positive note. We encourage our students to be the very best they can be each and every day! #baldwinBEthechange #riseandshine #morningannouncements

March is National Reading Month, and Paragould is "raising readers." Next month is designated to motivate Americans of all ages to read every day. To promote reading throughout the whole city of Paragould, we need your help! Please put your favorite book in the window of your store and home. Let's involve the whole community and see books in every window! We want our students from all of our local schools to be inspired by the many people in Paragould that read. Doing this one simple thing can make a big difference to motivate our younger generation to become avid readers.
