Congratulations to the PJHS dance team. They placed 1st in Pom, and 2nd place in Jazz and Hip Hop this weekend at the Spa City Dance Competition.
Congratulations to our Jr. Lady Rams on their great season! They finished 14-12-2 on the season (9-7 in conference), 2 Gold Bracket appearances in both tournaments, 3rd seed for the district tournament, and District Tournament Runner-Up!!!
PJHS/PHS car riders: Be advised of LIMITED PARKING Monday 10/18/21 at PHS due to the Region Marching Assessment. Plan to arrive earlier than normal to avoid frustration. Overflow parking will be located at 10Fitness. Senior Night/Volleyball overflow parking will be behind PJHS.
Your Junior High Lady Ram volleyball team plays Nettleton in the semifinals of the District tournament TONIGHT at 5:30 on Doc Paynter Court at PHS! Come on out and support them!
PJHS Dance Team did an amazing job Saturday in Bryant! They placed 1st in the 5A division of Pom, Jazz, and Hip Hop dances. They won highest score overall in all 3 divisions in all classes, and they received Grand Champion!

October 5th will be school picture day at PJHS. This is for all 7th and 8th graders. Please note that students are not to bring any money with them on picture day. All purchases of photos will be ordered and paid for online by the student/ parent. After they are purchased the photos will be mailed directly to your home. If you are not able to be at school on October 5th, then please plan to have then taken on our make up day- Friday, October 29th.
Did You Know breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women? In 2021, it's estimated that about 30% of newly diagnosed cancers in women will be breast cancer. Attention PJHS Parents: The PJHS Flu Vaccine Clinic will be held Wednesday, October 13th, 2021. Your student should bring home a packet today. If you want your child to receive a flu vaccine shot, you must complete the front and back of the Immunization Consent form and the School Immunization Clinic form. These must be completed, signed, and returned to school by Monday, October 4th. If you have any questions you can contact the school at 870-240-2261.
Dig for the Cure is THIS Thursday, September 30th. Starting today we will be posting some "Did You Know?" facts and stats about breast cancer AND our faculty and staff will be wearing RETRO Dig for the Cure shirts or pink this week to bring awareness to breast cancer. Thank you to the Ram Academy staff and students for sorting and distributing Dig for the Cure t-shirts! This is one of the community service projects they complete each year.
WOW! The Paragould School District received an Emergency Food Pantry Grant in the amount of $20,000 PLUS a $5,000 food credit at the NEA Food Bank! We have a new food pantry on the Junior High/High School campus that is bigger and better than years past and plans are in place to add an additional food pantry to the OGE/OGMS campus so we can serve even more families! We would like to shout THANK YOU to our PHS Community Service Learning class for unloading the food bank truck and organizing the food. What a task!

We are excited to announce the 14th Annual Dig for the Cure is Thursday, September 30th. We are honoring April Vanaman Biggs, Amber Vanaman, and Julie Lamb Milligan who have fought or are fighting breast cancer.
Proceeds come from our online silent auction, t-shirt sales, and corporate sponsorships. All proceeds go to AMMC's Project Hope; NEA Baptist Hospital's Hope Circle; and St. Bernard's Imaging Center.

PJHS students may be dropped off in front of the building at 7:15 in the morning. Students will be able to grab a free breakfast and head to the gym. Students may pick up a schedule when they enter the gym. 8th grade students will be dismissed to class and 7th students will be escorted by their homeroom teachers. We are excited to see all of our students back on campus. GO RAMS !
