Good morning! Just a reminder that make up photos for 9th-11th grade will be today. Students will be called to the auditorium when they are ready. Thank you.

FAFSA workshop will be Dec. 3, from 6-8pm at Paragould High School in the computer lab. Students and parents will need to bring 2018 tax returns and their FSA ID. Any student who needs scholarships, grants, etc. must fill out the FAFSA. Call Mrs. Horn at PHS with any questions.

Attention Parents of Seniors: You will have a chance to get signed up for the FASFA in the PHS computer lab today from 1:30pm-7:00pm.

Friday, November 8, is the deadline to sign up for the December ACT to avoid late fees.

Bell Week!
We have had a great start to Bell Week here at PHS! Don't forget about the dress up days at PHS in preparation for the PHS @ GCT Football game (Bell Game) this Friday, Nov. 8th at 7pm. Go Rams!
Wednesday: Way Back Wednesday! - Dress up as your favorite decades.
Thursday: Squad Day! - team up with your friends and dress alike.
Friday: Red, Blue, and America Too! - dress in red, white and blue to help cheer on the Rams against GCT.

FAFSA workshops are coming up for seniors. Nov. 14 from 1:30-7pm and Dec. 3 from 6-8pm. Bring 2018 taxes and FSA ID's for one parent and the student. Questions can be directed to Mrs. Horn in the counseling office. All students going to trade school or colleges must apply.

Both junior high and senior high students are encouraged to attend the Personal Empowerment Project on Nov. 9 at Paragould High School from 10 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Lunch will be provided. Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. See PHS NEWS for more details.

Due to weather the EAST trunk or treat event at Reynolds Park scheduled for today has been cancelled.

There will be no school for PHS students on Friday October 25th. Enjoy the Fall Break!

Juniors will take the ASVAB on Nov. 7. This test is highly correlated to the ACT and offers excellent practice without the high stakes stress. Students will receive online tools to career/college/military matches based on results. The chart shows the correlation to ACT scores.


A reminder that 1st 9 weeks grades are now posted online via HAC. Parents can check their child’s HAC account to see their report card grades. If you need your child’s login information then check with your child. We will not send report cards home.

Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen competition is open to students 13 to 17 years old for cash and tuition assistance. Local preliminary forms can be found at www.missarkansas.org

Seniors interested in UA Little Rock who have a 3.8 GPA with a 30 ACT may want to check into the Donaghey Scholars Program. Prospective applicants are invited to attend the Donaghey Scholars Sampler Day on October 29. Information can be found ualr.edu/donagheyscholars
