Based on the number of students currently in quarantine, face coverings will be required beginning on Friday, January 14 as outlined in the district Communicable Disease Exposure Control Plan. The updated plan has been placed on the district website under Ready to Learn 2021-2022. We must remain vigilant. The district will continue to focus on mitigating strategies that have helped us reduce the spread of COVID-19. A variety of measures will remain in place to ensure the safest learning environment possible. The Paragould School District is fully committed to the health and safety of all students, staff and visitors. We are proud of the actions that were taken to ensure a safe start to the school year and encourage everyone to continue to do their part to limit the spread of COVID-19.

As winter is upon us so is the potential threat of wintry weather and possible school closures. The letter below is from our superintendent, Dr. Jankoviak, and outlines the AMI process that PSD will utilize this year in case of school closures. Packets will come home tomorrow (Wednesday 1/5/22). Please keep these in a safe place until they are needed.

Congratulation Izabella (Izzy) Newsome, on being selected as November Citizen of the Month. Izzy is in Mrs. Wendy's 3rd grade classroom. Izzy's favorite colors are green and black and she love's eating teriyaki noodles. She also enjoys spending time with her family and playing soccer. During her interview when asked what her future job would be she responded "I actually have never thought about that. I do like soccer, so I might be a soccer coach". Way to be awesome Izzy, we are so proud of you!


Meet Andrew Weatherspoon, 3rd grade student in Mrs. Madi's homeroom. Andrew was selected as November citizen of the month. He loves the color blue and macaroni and cheese. Andrew enjoys spending time with his friend and playing. Andrew thinks his future job will be driving race cars! We are so proud of you Andrew, keep up the hard work!


Noah Trapp was selected as November Citizen of the Month for Mrs. Grace's 4th grade classroom. Noah loves the color red and eating chicken nuggets. He loves Pokemon, Harry Potter and spending time with his family. Noah thinks his future job will be a librarian, artist or musician. If Noah could ask the principal anything... he wants to now if he like Pokemon and has been wondering that for a long time. Noah you are a bright light, OGE is proud to have you!


Meet Cerinatee Blackmon, she was selected as November Citizen of the Month, by 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Rogers. Cerinatee's favorite color is rainbow and she loves french fries. In her free time she loves being with her family and talking to her friends. When she grows up she wants to be a Mayor. We are so proud to call you a student of OGE Cerinatee, keep up the hard work!


Meet 4th grade November Citizen of the Month BriAnna Keatts! BriAnna was selected by Mrs. Chelsea for her positive behavior. BriAnna's favorite color is teal and she loves eating steak. She enjoys spending time with her family, baby brother and going to Razorback games with her dad. In the future BriAnna wants to own a business and has already created a logo for it. WOW! She said she wants to start in Real Estate but then become a designer. We are so proud of you BriAnna, keep up the determination.


Jaelynn Ward is a 3rd grade student who was selected as November Citizen of the Month from Mrs. Julie's classroom! Jaelynn's favorite color is silver and her favorite food is icing. She enjoys gaming and playing on her phone. Jaelynn wants to work at a salon when she grows up and do nails. Way to go Jaelynn, we are so proud of you and your positive influence!


Way to go Riley Block for being selected as Mrs. Herring's November Citizen of the Month. Riley is a fourth grade student, she loves the color teal and eating watermelon. Her favorite thing to do is play soccer and when she grows up she think her future job will be a surgeon. Way to go Riley, we are so proud of you and can't wait for you to make an impact on the world!


Paisley Crocker was selected to be November Citizen of the Month! She is a 4th grade student from Mrs. Nikki's classroom. Paisley's favorite color is yellow and her favorite food is steak. She loves spending time with her family and playing with her sister. When asked what her future job would be Paisley said "I actually look up to Mrs. Nikki and I want to be a teacher just like her." She also would like to ask Principal Jones if he likes his job. We are so proud to have you at OGE Paisley Crocker!


Jagger Dutton is November Citizen of the Month from Mrs. Tonya's 2nd grade classroom. Jagger's favorite color is red and he loves eating chicken. Jagger likes to get new toys and spend time with his family, playing and gaming. His future job is going to be a doctor. Jagger we are so proud of you and appreciate you making OGE the place to be!


Meet 2nd grade sweetheart Bailey Cunningham from Mrs. Krissy's 2nd grade classroom. She was selected as November Citizen of the Month. Bailey's favorite colors are black and white and she enjoys eating steak. Bailey enjoys "painting and doing fun stuff". When she grows up she wants to be a teacher. If she could ask the principal one question she would ask Mr. Jones if he would be her friend. OGE is so proud of you Bailey and can not wait for you to be a teacher here one day sweet girl, keep up the hard work!


Meet Allie Curtis from Mrs. Eastep's 2nd grade classroom. Allie was selected to be November Citizen of the Month. Allie's favorite color is green and she loves eating broccoli. Allie loves seeing her whole entire family and playing with her baby brother and sister. During her interview Allie said that her future job will be a nurse that helps pets.
