Congratulations to Desmond Horton in Mrs. Wendy's 3rd grade classroom for being selected as her October Citizen of the month. Desmond loves the color red, reading "Dog Man", eating lasagna, and watching "Raven's Home". Desmond's favorite thing to do is play football with his friends. Desmond your big heart definitely shines through when asked how he could change the world he responded with "Probably find a way to cure cancer because that would make a lot of people feel better". Desmond we are so proud of you!

So proud to introduce 4th grader Jaxton Ward from Mrs. Chelsea's classroom. She selected Jaxton to be her October Citizen of the Month! Jaxton's favorite colors are red and blue and he loves to watch videos and play games in his spare time. Jaxton loves eating corn, reading the "I Survived" book series and watching Top Gun. Jaxton says he is unique because he has "red hair and a little pointy thing on his ear are both unique" Jaxton you are one of a kind and help make OGE the place to be! Congratulations!

Congratulations to Paxton Sutton in Mrs. Grace's 4th grade classroom at OGE! She selected him to be her October Citizen of the Month. Paxton's favorite color is Blue, he loves pizza, Avengers, reading Junie B. Jones and playing kickball outside. Paxton also sometimes goes fishing with his dad. Paxton believes he can change the world by encouraging people to not use drugs. Paxton you are a difference maker and we are so proud of you, keep it up buddy!

Meet 4th grader Cooper Johnston, Mrs. Nikki selected him to be her October Citizen of the Month. Coopers favorite color is red, he loves pizza and playing with his little step-brother. Cooper's favorite TV Series is the Flash. Cooper believes he can change the world by "being nice to everybody because everyday I'll make at least one person laugh". Cooper is unique, he says "All the time, I am just myself and I don't really care about what other people think". Way to go Cooper Johnston, OGE is so proud of you!

Please see the attached flyer if you are interested in a COVID vaccine. The Greene County Health Department has a clinic going on NOW until 12pm. They also have extended walk in hours (8am - 6pm) Monday through Wednesday (11/8/21 - 11/11/21) if that better serves you. They are offering all types including the pediatric vaccine (5 - 11 years of age).

Big Shout Out to Chase Elliott and our super SWEET Cafeteria Staff! Chase has been earning and saving his ROWDY points for being Responsible, taking Ownership, Working hard, remaining Dedicated and, doing Your(his) best! Chase purchased a special Privilege with his points..... He gets to be 1st in the lunch line in ALL of 2nd grade! This is a HUGE DEAL! We are so proud of you Chase!

4th - 6th grade basketball tryouts are TOMORROW (Monday 10/25/21) in the OGMS gym at the following times:
3:45 - 4:45pm 5th grade (can stay after school - parents MUST pick up)
4:50 - 5:50pm 6th grade (can stay after school - parents MUST pick up)
6:00 - 7:00pm 4th grade (parents MUST drop off AND pickup)
Forms went home with your students last week. If you did not get one, forms will be available at the tryout for you to fill out. Tryouts are closed to parent spectators.
