Senior and Kindergarten Legacy Walk

Paragould School District’s youngest students will be celebrated during the 4th Annual Community Pep Rally on Friday, August 14, at Ram Stadium on the Paragould High School campus.

New this year, the Senior and Kindergarten Legacy Walk will bring together PSD kindergarten students and members of the PHS Class of 2027 for a special β€œWelcome to the Ram Family” tradition. Each kindergartener will be paired with a graduating senior before walking onto the football field, being introduced to the community, and passing through the large Rams inflatable together.

The walk will celebrate two important milestones: the beginning of kindergarten and the start of senior year.

Kindergarten parents should bring their PSD kindergarten student to the Field House at 7:30 p.m., when the announcement is made for game cleanup. District staff will check in the children, pair them with seniors, and line them up for the walk.

Parents and family members may watch from the home-side bleachers or along the home-side fence. After the walk, students will be escorted back to the Field House, where parents must pick them up. For safety, parents should not attempt to pick up their children from the football field.

The Legacy Walk is open only to Paragould School District kindergarten students and PHS Class of 2027 seniors. Seniors should check their Class of 2027 Google Classroom for instructions.

The Community Pep Rally is free and open to the public. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with inflatables, games, and showcase booths available until 7:30 p.m. The evening program will begin at approximately 7:45 p.m. with the presentation of colors by JROTC and the national anthem performed by the PHS Choir Ensemble.

Academic and athletic introductions for students in grades seven through 12 will follow. The district will recognize participants in fall, winter, and spring sports, as well as Cheer, Dance, Quiz Bowl, Beta Club, FFA, E-Sports, Business Entrepreneurs, FBLA, and AP Scholars.

Following the Senior and Kindergarten Legacy Walk, the Paragould Pride Marching Band will perform at approximately 8:15 p.m. Fireworks will close out the evening.

Families are invited to come early, enjoy the activities, and help welcome Paragould’s kindergarten students into the Ram family.
