A frequently asked questions (FAQ) document and planning survey for the fall have been posted in the bulletin board area of the Paragould School District website (paragould.k12.ar.us). The survey is required for all students. A guardian should fill out the survey for each Kindergarten through 12th grade PSD student in the family. We recommend that you read the FAQ document first, then take the survey. The deadline for the survey is July 17. With your help, we can plan for a great, safe 2020-21 school year! GO RAMS!
Students from PHS were honored at the Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day event, which due to the health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus has been developed into a virtual commemorative presentation. The following is a message from the Governor and First Lady and a PowerPoint presentation created to showcase the student photos that were submitted to the governor's office. For students who did not submit a photo, names and schools are found at the end of the presentation. In addition, all students will receive a letter from the Governor’s office as well as a certificate signed by the Governor. Attention PHS 2020 Seniors: The TV station KJNB of Jonesboro is honoring high school seniors from the Class of 2020 during the month of May. Class of 2021 students who are interested in having JAG in their schedule next year must complete the application ASAP. Mr. Parrot has emailed that application out and it must be returned to Mrs. Lamb. You can't add the class next year unless you have applied.
If your PHS student has completed their paper packet of their AMI work, they may begin turning those in at PHS Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-3:30pm. There will be a container by the main entrance where the student can turn it in. Please be sure that the child’s first and last name are on each paper. Please make sure that the name of the course/class and the last name of the teacher is on the papers for each specific course/class. If your PHS student has a digital copy of their AMI work they may email it to their specific teacher.

Juniors/Seniors who are taking an English, history, science, or math concurrent class must have a student success plan on file with Mrs. Horn by the end of the day Monday, March 16 in order to have the course paid for by the ACT 456 scholarship.
SENIORS: Friday, March 13th is the deadline for the MFA, NEALSP, and American Legion (dependent of an American Legionnaire) scholarships. Turn them in to the counseling office or postmark by tomorrow. Monday is the deadline for the AR Community Foundation Scholarships.
Seniors don't forget that March 15th is the deadline for the online AR Community Foundation Scholarships. Make sure to have yours submitted in time! The complete packet of the paper applications also needs to be returned to the counseling office on the same day.
RAAD (Rise Above Alcohol and Drugs) is a PHS student coalition looking for current 10th and 11th grade leaders to help found the group for next year. All sophomores and juniors were sent an email with the details of how to apply for leadership positions. Due by Friday, March 13.

The Paragould Pride Marching Band performed in Dallas, TX at the Bands of America Regional and Super Regional Championship. They performed at 7:45am and did an amazing job of their show “Peace”.
