Fall 2019 Semester Exam Schedule
December 18th: 5th and 7th periods
December 19th: 4th, 6th, and 8th periods
December 20th: 1st and 2nd periods
● All students not in school will be counted absent as required by state
law.
● Please contact an administrator if you have questions about the
exemption policy.
● Students may not take tests early without permission of an
administrator.
● Teachers will submit the 2nd 9 weeks, semester exam grades, and
1st semester final grades before leaving on Friday, Dec. 20th.
Verification sheets will be done the 1st week back in January.
SEMESTER EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY
Students at Paragould High School may be exempt from semester tests by meeting the
following criteria:
• Students must have a “B” average in each class and 3 or fewer absences to be exempt from
semester exams
• Students with 5 or more tardies to 1st period or 4 or more tardies to 2nd-8th period class will
forfeit their exemption eligibility for each class in which the violations occurred.
• Any student owing lunch charges will not be eligible for semester test exemption.
• A second assignment to ISS will also result in loss of exemption eligibility for all classes.
• Students who have been assigned OSS during the semester will forfeit their exemption
eligibility for all of their classes.
• All teachers will participate in and enforce the exemption policy.
• Students who are passing all classes and have perfect attendance.
